Our Creative Engagement Officer Kate, will be leading some Music workshops for children at Seahouses Primary School, Northumberland in May. Kate will be working with Yr 1/2 and Year 3/4 children, to explore their sound environment at school, practise listening together, learn about recording and create their own soundscape.
The Minute of Listening series, is produced by Sound and Music and we initially ran some workshops using these resources during lockdown. You can read about previous projects HERE. All the resources are available for schools to use for free and this carefully curated collection of 60-second recordings introduces children to a range of music and sounds from Björk to Beethoven, folk music to field recordings – My Minute
