Schools feedback from Puppetry workshops – Georgia Hill

Thanks to teachers at Seahouses Primary School for letting us read some great feedback for Georgia Hill’s puppetry workshops, which have been taking place across March, April and May in Northumberland. As well as hand puppet workshops with some of the younger Year 1/2 children, Georgia also workshopped her Arts Council England supported project, Monster Circus with Year 5/6 children.

“As part of our creative curriculum Georgia and her marvellous Monster Circus visited school to teach us all about the lengthy design process and intricate creation of a range of spectacular puppets. Georgia talked about her love of puppets from a young age and how this then inspired her to study set design at University.” Class Teacher

“Every puppet introduced to us had been hand made by Georgia with some of her amazing puppets being used on the national stage, in films and on television. We thought Georgia’s talent, perseverance and determination were thoroughly inspirational;. So much so, we had a go at making our own puppets too!” Class Teacher

“We’ve just had Georgia Hill working with 3 classes. The feedback from her workshops from staff, children and parents has been amazing. I was really impressed in what the children managed to achieve in such a relatively short space of time.” Head Teacher
