Schools feedback from Music workshops – Kema Sikazwe

We’re always very pleased to receive feedback from teachers and students who have been working with Artists, for our Participate workshops. This helps inform our future workshop plans for the programme and is also so valuable in reporting to our funders and Board, through the year.

Kema has been working with us through March, with Rap Songwriting workshops at Stanhope Barrington Primary School, County Durham, Nenthead Primary School in Cumbria and Allendale Primary School, in Northumberland.

Kema’s workshop was a great refresher on the anti-bullying work we have been doing in school.

The outcomes for the children were learning about group participation, knowledge building, confidence and communication skills.

The children enjoyed the whole session and enjoyed the fact that it was very active and that [Kema] was very inspiring.

They all enjoyed it, the quality of the teaching was excellent.
