Spoken Word & Poetry – Sarah Crutwell

Artform: Spoken Word & Poetry
Website: facebook.com/sarahcrutwellspokenword

Sarah Crutwell is a Poet and Spoken Word Performer based in the North East. Her work aims to address the things we lower our voices to talk about and explores areas such as mental health, sexuality, gender roles, ingrained sexism and freedom of choice. With a background in theatre and a strong intersectional feminist values, her performance is engaging, thought-provoking and progressive with a mischievous tone.

Participants will be asked to think about elements of “who they are” and how these parts of our identity make us who we are. Ie. our cultures, race, sexuality, gender identity, belief systems, disability status, core values – all the things that affect and form us as people. As a group we will share and discuss these elements, how they intersect, and the ways they impact us positively and negatively.

If you’d like to book Sarah for a workshop in your school or community group, please contact Joel at [email protected]
