Highlights is an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation, which means that we receive regular funding which is in place until March 2027.
Highlights receives much appreciated funding from NCC to support its approx. 20 venues across the county, as well as work in schools and libraries.
Highlights receives much appreciated funding from W&F to support its approx. 30 venues across the authority, as well as work in schools.
NRTF is a national network of rural touring schemes and members including artists, venues, promoters, producers and festivals – all working to deliver professional performances and events in rural settings.
The Rural Touring Dance Initiative (RTDI) is a national project which supports dance artists & rural promoters to make great dance performance events happen in rural spaces. In July 2022, Highlights became a lead partner on the project, alongside The Place, NRTF, Take Art and Sonia Sabri Company.
Highlights is a partner in the Northern Consortium of Rural Touring Schemes, a group which cooperates in fundraising, resource sharing, joint promotion, and strategic planning for rural touring and connected activities across the North region of England. Other schemes include Arts Out West, Arts Alive, Blaize (ArtERY / Live Lincs), Cheshire Rural Touring Arts, Rural Arts On Tour and Spot On Lancashire.
