We may not be able to get Highlights shows into your village halls at the moment but for one night only we’re bringing Highlights into your homes.
Join us on BBC Radio Cumbria’s The Arty Show on Monday 14th September between 7pm-10pm where you can enjoy three Highlights and Arts Out West artists in the comfort of your own living room.
Featuring Nick Hennessey (storyteller, singer & musician), musician Rob Heron and excerpts from the sell-out Ladies That Bus – based on the real-life experiences of travellers on the 555 bus route from Lancaster to Keswick.
Earlier in the summer, Highlights commissioned these three exclusive performances as part of a project aimed at ensuring that our rural communities could access non-online based arts during lockdown and beyond. And, although we’ll be making the performances available via our website, we do hope we can make them available to a wider radio audience in the near future.
