Artform: Theatre, Writing
Website: hannahsowerbywriter.co.uk
Hannah Sowerby is a Cumbrian playwright, performer, facilitator and comedian. She’s been writing plays for eleven years and is particularly interested in writing comedy, and about her home county of Cumbria.
The workshops centre on writing a one person show for yourself based on Hannah’s experience of writing and performing ‘10 Things to do in a Small Cumbrian Town’ at Alphabetti Theatre in Newcastle. The idea of this is to build confidence, encourage students to tell their stories, show them different ways of generating material and give them the tools and inspiration to start writing a one person show of their own. This is a helpful tool for students who want to go into the world of theatre as a writer and actor.
If you\’d like to book Hannah for a workshop in your school or community group, please contact Joel at [email protected]/.
