Create a beautiful metal embossed plaque in this creative workshop. Under the friendly guidance of tutor Carrie, make your own piece of art that you can choose to use as a functional hanger for lightweight items like keys or dog leads, or simply display as a decorative wall plaque.

You’ll start with a practice piece to help you get comfortable with the tools and techniques. Then, you’ll move on to working on your plaque. You can either choose from templates that Carrie will bring along, or bring your own design to recreate in metal. You will be shown how to transfer your design onto metal, and bring it to life through embossing, learning more tips and embossing techniques along the way.

Once your embossing is complete, we’ll add the finishing touches by aging the metal for a vintage look and then add hook and / or hanger findings.

Please bring: feel free to bring your own design ideas (templates are provided). If you are bringing your own design, the finished plaque measures 13cm x 13cm, so a design a centimetre or two smaller than that will fit well. All other materials are supplied.
