Hamsterley is a rural village, close to Hamsterley Forest and 7 miles from Bishop Auckland. The hall is situated on the village green, was built as a school in 1822 and converted to a hall in 1967. It is a good size, has a versatile layout and heating throughout. The main hall has a stage and film equipment including a screen, DVD/Blu-Ray player
