Highlights commissioned a series of Circus Skills workshops from Circus Theatre Director, Kaveh Rahnama of Nearly There Yet, which are available here. Dancer/Directors Mimosa Percy – Rouhaud and Ed Stephen also offer Circus Skills workshops with Highlights, through our Participate programme.

Here at KDA we pride ourselves on providing all our students with the best possible training in all genres of dance and performing arts. Everyone is welcome through our studio doors from tiny tots right up to adults to become apart of our dance family where they will create memories to last a lifetime.

Dance classes at TIN Arts are specifically designed to be fully inclusive. They are carefully created and planned so that children and young people of all abilities can take part in our activities. All of our classes include dance technique (learning different ways of moving depending on dance style), creativity (exploring how we make dance movement and pieces of dance) and performance skills (getting ready to show what we have made to friends, family and wider audiences).

Eliot Smith Dance (ESD) is a North East leading contemporary dance company. The group is based in Newcastle upon Tyne (England) and rehearses predominately in Northumberland. Led by its Founder and Creative Director Eliot Smith, the Company performs for audiences in their hundreds across North East England and other parts of the UK, and has performed by invitation in Paris, Rome, and New York. Our engagement opportunities can be tailored to suit participants of all ages and abilities, so when you book, we encourage you to let us know any special requirements and/or preferences so that we can create a bespoke experience.

Originally founded in 2018 by Lily Horgan and Charlie Dunne, Meta4 Dance Company is a North East based contemporary dance company focusing on creating the opportunity to access high-quality contemporary dance in Northumberland.

Meta4 Dance Company creates thought-provoking, transparent and engaging dance whilst deeply rooted in the community. We perform nationally and internationally in traditional and non-traditional spaces with accessibility at our core. Our community dance work looks specifically at participants and audiences who experience rural isolation. Both directors have experienced first-hand the effects of rural isolation and relate on a personal level which puts this issue to the forefront of our work. Read more HERE

Let’s Circus are a performing circus, event programmers, educational facilitators and production company. They are the local agency for contemporary circus performers, street artists and variety entertainment in the northern half of the UK and know the industry from the inside.
