Our Participate programme is having a busy June and July, with 15 workshops happening in schools across County Durham, Cumbria and Northumberland. It’s been exciting to see Artists in schools and the positive benefits to students and teachers, developing creative approaches, collaborating and sharing ideas in creative writing, music and theatre skills.
Thanks to Teachers and Heads at Dallam School, Storth C of E Primary School, Milnthorpe Primary School, Frosterley Primary School, Woodland Primary School, Butterknowle Primary School, Cockfield Primary School, Evenwood Primary School, Duchess Community High School, Shilbottle Primary School and Seahouses Primary School.

Children were engaged, enthused to write and inspired by working with a real author.

I have learnt about how wide the drama industry actually is.

The workshop was informative, creative and original. It has helped me widen my understanding of performing and writing scripts.
