The Holly and Ivy Midwinter Roadshow presents songs, stories, dances and customs associated with Midwinter, Christmas and the New Year. It’s lively, informal, and participative and features David Oliver (accordion and voice), Laura Connolly (clog, flute and voice) and Stewart Hardy (fiddle and voice).
David Oliver is one of Britain’s most experienced folk educationalists as well as a fine performer. Stewart Hardy is a nationally-acclaimed performer with numerous recordings and broadcast credits to his name.
Laura Connolly is a superb dancer; a graduate of Newcastle University’s Folk Music Degree and was featured in the BBC4 programme ‘Come Clog Dancing’.
