DIY Chef by George Egg

One man, one DeWalt-powered egg whisk, one shedful of recipes.

A health scare sees stand-up comedian George banished from the family kitchen. Relocated to the garden shed his imagination and resourcefulness lead him to build an improvised kitchen there instead.

During an inspiring and inventive evening of stand-up comedy, George prepares a breakfast, a lunch and a dinner using a wallpaper stripper, heat gun, paper shredder and a whole host of other power tools, office equipment, hairdressing appliances and gardening implements with the audience getting to sample the food at the end.

The performance at St Thomas Church Hall, Stanhope on Thursday 6 February  is a ‘foodraiser’ for the Weardale Foodbank, which runs weekly from the Church Hall.  The promoter requests that audience members bring along a tin as well as their ticket and proceeds from the raffle will also be donated to this good cause.
